Our New Single Mr. No!

After returning to the live circuit with a triumphant performance at Mostly Jazz & Funk festival back in 2021, Manchester-based purveyors of conga-crammed, horn-stuffed funk - The Plimp Souls - turned their attention to writing. They converted their lockup into ‘The Loft’ - a working studio a stone’s throw from Stockport’s legendary Strawberry Studios - and got busy. Mr. No is the first fruit of those sessions!

More live shows followed at legendary venues such as Band on The Wall & Matt & Phred’s, cementing a fresh line-up & getting the band ready for the summer. They’re already booked to perform at Eskfest and Moovin festivals, with more shows at the end of the year tbc!

Written by Vocalist Leanne Ledger & Bassist David Davies, self-produced by the band themselves & mastered at Abbey Road Studios by Alex Gordon (Florence + The Machine, Yussef Dayes, Cocteau Twins) The Plimp Souls can’t wait to get Mr. No out into the world & start work on the follow up.
